One of our family’s favorite weekend activities is visiting local wineries to try new wines, to enjoy the outdoors, and to let the kids play. And luckily, living in Virginia, we have a plethora of options! But there are times when we just prefer the comforts of home. So, recently we decided to bring a little bit of wine country to our kitchen with our own at home wine tasting!

Very last-minute (apparently my favorite way to host 😂), we gathered some friends and invited them over with a mission of finding our next favorite bottle of wine. Since it’s summer, we went with a rose theme. But you could host your own at home wine tasting during any season and feature any type of wine!

To set up our at home wine tasting, I turned to my Walmart+ membership! When it comes to hosting or any last-minute preparation, it is my absolute #1 go-to. For our at-home wine tasting, I ordered a few of my favorite Walmart charcuterie board necessities along with this white galvanized tub! These acacia boards I bought over the holidays using my Walmart+ membership are another fav!! Once all of the snacks were arranged, I added the wine to the ice-filled tub and numbered each one with these printable tags! The tags also came with rating cards to keep us organized and to help us determine our top-rated wine!

Not only did we have a wonderful time socializing with our friends while our kids happily played on the play set, but at the end, we all went home with a list of a couple of wines we knew we could pick up on our next Walmart run (or Walmart+ order!)! No more standing in the aisles wondering what to pick! That’s a big win if you ask me.
