Are you pregnant but have a severe aversion to maternity clothes? Although I have switched over to a few pairs of maternity pants (I found them much more comfy than continuing to wear my Bella Band), much of my wardrobe is still working for me well into my second trimester. Here is how I’m making my non-maternity clothes last.
1. Open Button Downs: A bigger chest and expanding belly may prevent me from buttoning up my oxford collection, but they still look great opened over a tighter tee to show off that bump or with another looser, yet body skimming top.

2. Looser dresses: A shapeless shift in a soft cotton blend is perfect. It completely hung straight over any sign of a bump at first but now is hugging nicely.
Mix it: Leopard Print Cargo Jacket / Spring-ify a LBD
3. Popovers: You don’t have to work about buttoning those pesky over-the-belly buttons when they stop mid chest! They are my favorite alternative to oxfords.
Spring Maternity Work Wear / Mix it: Pinstripe Popover
4. Blazers: I’ve always loved blazers, but I’ve found myself reaching for them even more lately. Sure, they don’t button anymore, but they provide a great structure to many of the looser blouses I’ve been tending towards. They also look great with a tighter tee!

What non-maternity items have you worn during pregnancy?
The open button down looks so cute on you!
Love these tips! I might not need them anytime soon, but still good to know =)
Love all these looks – seriously you are looking gorge!

I’ve been wearing lots of non-maternity clothes this pregnancy. I’m lucky I had a pretty flowy, drapey wardrobe to begin with! 🙂 Less money I spend on maternity clothes, the more I can spend on baby clothes, hehe. Although I do see the benefit in investing in good nursing/maternity clothes, as they do double duty 🙂
loving your maternity style.
Yep, I’m definitely going to try and get the most of of my regular clothes while pregnant, it helps that I have a lot of loose fitting pieces, haha. But who knows what my style will be like when I’m actually pregnant…if ever 😉
I imagine it would be annoying and expensive to buy an entire new wardrobe so it’s great to have your non-maternity wardrobe work double duty!

Wonderful and very stylish ideas! x
Good ideas! You look so beautiful in each. I swear by my maternity pants though I still wear them- best investment in clothing I believe.
Loving these tips you shared! I’ve been loving blazers too for the same reasons!

Your blazers are adorable and I love the idea of just not buttoning some of your shirts!
You have done a great job dressing your bump, so far. Adorable. Great tips too. I also utilized button-downs (left open), Popovers, Tunics, Blazers and lots of Dresses when I was pregnant. =)
Cute photos and great tips!
