I’ve talked about what to wear traveling before, but I entered into a whole new territory this week when Layla and I traveled solo to California to visit my parents and sister. Travel can be somewhat stressful, but being a nursing mom definitely added some additional considerations when deciding what to wear and bring along for the trip. Now that it’s over, I can say that I am happy with what I chose for travel wear!
A button down makes feeding pretty easy, especially when layered with a scarf that doubles as extra coverage and extra warmth. Flat, comfortable shoes were also a necessity. Even though I had planned an hour layover, Layla and I ended up running between gates to make our connection due to delays. I’m sure it was quite a sight to see a mom with her baby strapped in a carrier, booking it down the terminal.
Top: J.Crew Factory, Jeans: Old Navy DIY Rips, Scarf: Target (similar), Bag: Thirty-One, Shoes: Converse, Necklace: Stella & Dot Signature Engraveable Bar, Bracelet: Loren Hope Sarra Cuff c/o Rocksbox
Loving this outfit! Glad you and Layla made it! Not sure I would be able to travel alone with a baby, haha…but I guess since I’ve never had to that’s why I think that way.
sucha great travel outfit even for one not nursing. Enjoy your visit
This is my basic travel outfit too – skinny jeans, a button-down, flats, and sometimes a scarf. So cute and comfy!
Super cute! Collins and I are flying solo to FL in a couple week. I’m thinking TOMS to slip on, workout pants to pull up with one hand if I have to pee, and either a button down or a zip up hoodie with a nursing tank to nurse her while we fly. I’m glad it worked out so well!
I’m glad the traveling went well! Traveling is stressful enough on my own so cheers to you for doing it with a baby! 🙂
I bet the Chucks came in handy when running through the airport! You look cute and comfy!
