Fall Try On Haul

Over the past several weeks, I’ve placed several orders to some of our favorite retailers. Instead of separating them out, I’ve compiled all of my recent finds into a large fall try on haul. Get ready for new Madewell finds, Amazon fashion finds, J.Crew, Free People, and more!

My Sizing

For reference, I’m 5’7 1/2″ with a short torso and very long legs! I typically wear a 28/29 in jeans or a size 6/8. My bra size is a 36C, and I typically wear a size medium (or 8) top.

Collared Cardigan and Cropped Knit Tank

We’re starting with one of my favorite finds from the entire month! This set gives me effortless 90’s-inspired cool vibes, and I just want to wear it every day. Both items are a brushed ribbed knit and super-cozy! They have a relaxed fit that is comfortable without being oversized. The tank is slightly more cropped. (You can see it below on its own!) And the cardigan can be worn alone are open as a set! Both fit TTS and come in 4 colors.

Donegal Flannel Shirt Jacket

Looking for a more neutral shirt jacket option (I still love this corduroy one though!), I ordered this donegal version! The fabric is flecked and the fit is very oversized. I sized down one to a small and it’s still very relaxed in fit! The weight is lighter than many other shirt jackets I’ve tried, reminding more of a light flannel weight!

Brushed Knit Shirt Jacket

This is the other neutral shirt jacket option I tried! Although the colors are similar, this one has a different fit, style and fabric! It’s made of a brushed knit that feels like a sweatshirt. The fit is also more true to size. I ordered down one to a small but could have stuck with a medium for more of the typical shirt jacket fit. The pockets are less oversized as is the length. Everything is just a little more shrunken and fitted! I recommend staying TTS.

Peplum Top + Dark Wash Straight Leg Jeans

The color of this peplum top is what got me! The faded mauve is just beautiful on! It has a smocked bodice, peplum bottom, and balloon sleeves. The fabric is a lightweight crinkle that I love! Anything with a little texture adds interest! I ordered my typical size 8 and felt like it overwhelmed my figure. I’d recommend sizing down one!

These jeans are also a new find! I was looking for a classic dark wash without any distressing. They have a high rise and more of a tapered straight leg. They fit smaller than typical Madewell jeans and have minimal give. I’d recommend sizing up one from your usual Madewell size or stick with your typical denim size. For reference, I’m in the 29/8, and I typically take a 28/6 in Madewell jeans.

Brushed Fleece Jumpsuit

Hello, little slice of heaven!! The entire inside of this jumpsuit is brushed fleece, and let me tell you: wearing it feels like the coziest, warmest hug! This piece is from the athleisure/loungewear line MWL by Madewell and definitely fits the bill. I’d wear it at home or out and about styled just like I’m wearing it below! It fits TTS.

Baseball Cap

I’ve been wanting a logo-less hat, and this one is perfect. It’s a one-size option with an adjustable leather strap in back. I have the olive but it also comes in a canvas and black color! LOVE!

Fall Floral Midi Dress

This dress is another one of my top buys of the month! I wore it out in Charlottesville last weekend! (You can see it styled with a cardi here on IG!) It has a square neck, puff sleeves, tiers, and a midi length. I’m wearing an 8 and could have easily sized down to a 6. Ladies with larger busts, stay TTS as there is zero stretch.

Quilted Long Cardigan Jacket

Madewell’s answer to the popular shirt jacket is the cardigan jacket! This thing is a heavier weight and super-cozy! I sized down one to a small and it still fits oversized!

Packable Puffer Jacket

This jacket is exactly what started my love affair with puffy jackets! The color, the quilting, everything about it I love! Plus it’s made of 100% recycled content. I brought it on the trek with us to Charlottesville last weekend and was the perfect weight for the cooler days. It fits TTS. I’m in a medium.
