Today’s prompt in the October Photo Challenge was fashion, and I’ll admit, it gave me some pause. This might sound crazy from someone who spends a bit lot of time obsessing about her clothes, but I had a hard time pinpointing how I would photograph something so all-encompassing.
If you’ve checked out any of the my outfit posts, it’s pretty obvious that I have a fairly classic style. I enjoy being stylish and current, but trendy is something I never strive to be. So naturally when I started thinking about fashion, classic pieces like LBDs, pencil skirts, and trench coats instantly came to mind; however, once I caught a glimpse of my black patent pumps kicked off by the door, my mind was made up.
Forever a classic, they work with any outfit and instantly make me feel put together. To me they are quintessentially fashion.
If you had to pick one item or outfit to describe your style, what would you chose?

oh.. I really like this picture. The shadows and coloration are so perfect. Did you stage your shoes in this position or actually kick them off like this?
Thank you! They were kicked off in a similar position by the door, but I ended up having to re-position them in the middle of the floor to get a better shot.
