To say things have been hectic for me over the past couple weeks would be an understatement. Taking the lead on a project at work has been an awesome opportunity but taxing nonetheless. Simultaneously handling two roles has lead to me loathe additional hours in front of a computer screen.
I’ve also really amped up my running schedule as I prepare for my next half marathon in March. The extra miles have left me feeling fatigued, but I’m excited to see that my strength is returning.
So in a way I’m glad I disconnected from blogging and didn’t completely run myself into the ground, but I also feel exactly that way: disconnected. So here’s a quick photographic update of the fun things that have been going on in my life:
On one of those exhausted days, I was reminded that it’s not about me. One sweet little gesture made me realize how much my spending few hours at church with the kids is appreciated.
I also got to spend a few hours with the super-sweet Madi (aka Miss Cheeks). And yea, I left with a slight case of baby fever. Don’t judge. You would too.
Richmond actually got a little snow!
But the sun didn’t let it last.
Aaron nervously cheered on the 49ers to two victories. Hello, Super Bowl.
And I spent entirely too much time snuggled up to these guys.
So tell me, what have I missed? What’s going on in your lives?!
To keep up with me when I’m a blogging slacker, make sure you’re following on Instagram! π
I totally understand about being busy. Why is January so busy? I’d gladly stay inside all month cuddling with my dogs. And talking about dogs….your babies are just precious!! Nothing wrong with snuggling with them. They and you deserve the down time.
I hope things have started to get less busy! That baby is too cute. I would have baby fever too π

Sometimes it’s good to step back from a computer for a little bit, sadly I am too addicted to mine to do that, haha

So fun to see what you’ve been up toβI totally feel ya on the “insanely busy” thing lately. Your pups are so cute!
I am going through the exact same thing and I am struggling to keep myself focused on everything plus blogging! It’s ok to be a blogging slacker sometimes. Those pictures are so pretty
I couldn’t agree more Lauren! I’ve been having similar issues with simply not having enough hours in the day to accomplish everything on my list. Work has also been nuts with working a lot of overtime and I’m just exhausted by the end of the day. I’m so glad you’re being smart and listening to your body instead of pushing yourself too hard and ending up sick. There’s a really bad flu going around here and I’m trying to stay as rested as possible to be able to fight it off. I’ve decided that at the moment the max I can do is a couple posts per week which I’m happy with; hopefully things will ease up soon and you’ll be back to your regular routine!

I completely understand. Two major projects have also consumed most of my “free” time. Here’s to an easier couple of days this week. Friday is almost here π

After the crazy holiday time we all just had, taking some time off to make the most of what free time you have is a smart & well-deserved idea. And I can’t think of any better way of disconnecting than lounging with my pups on the couch catching up on my DVR! Sounds to me like you had the right idea, girl! BTW, LOVE your pups!! So cute!
