February Lust List

February is a always a weird time clothing-wise. Even though it’s clearly winter, my mind is always skipping ahead toward warmer months. Transition pieces with a focus on warmth are what I’m lusting after for February.

faux leather jacket, floral scarf, striped dress, bright fliatsA faux leather jacket is year-round appropriate, but especially great during the spring and fall. It just so happens to look incredibly fresh this time of year with my #2 pick: a floral scarf.

Being a girly girl, I’m loving all of the floral prints for spring, but I’m not quite ready to fully commit. Adding a lightweight floral scarf is the perfect transition piece that makes me feel sunny even the weatherman says it’s below freezing.

Another piece that works year-round is a classic t-shirt dress. This one in a nautical stripe, which I’m obviously obsessed with, is perfect layered under tights, boots and a jacket for now. Come spring, I’ll be rocking it sans layers. Bonus: this baby doubles as a bathing suit cover up during the summer. Dress, you’ve already paid for yourself.

My last pick probably needs little explanation: fun bright flats are the perfect way to infuse a little spring into my winter wardrobe without overspending. You better believe come February 10 that I’ll be stalking Target’s website to snap these up!

What are you shopping for in February?

LOVING those printed flats! I’m shopping for faux-leather pants and new black booties. Now the question is, where am I getting the money for this?
