This weekend flew by, probably because it was another busy, interesting couple of days around our house! We were out and about all Saturday afternoon and planned for a chill Sunday. But after going for my first post-baby run, I found a stray pitbull roaming in the median of a busy street. Poor thing had no identification and wasn’t microchipped, so he spent the day in my backyard until we were able to get him picked up by a nearby rescue. If we didn’t already have three dogs, I’m sure he would have ended up staying much longer. I’m such a sucker for dogs and get attached entirely too quickly! At least I know he’s now being well cared for and will find a forever home. Enough about my doggie adventures, let’s kick off Mix it Monday!
Dress: c/o Pinkblush Maternity (similar, non-maternity), Jacket: Old Navy, Shoes: Converse, Necklace: similar, Bracelets: Charming Charlie, Juicy Couture (option, similar), Earrings: Stella & Dot Nancy Studs
At the end of my pregnancy, I strictly looked for pieces that would work well beyond the third trimester. This was one of those dresses. I styled it multiple ways during pregnancy, and I’m still making it work! That empire waist line is ideal for flattering all shapes!
Now I’d love to see how you’re remixing your wardrobe!

Love your style! I had the hardest time trying to look cute while I was expecting and for some time after. Hopefully I won’t be as afraid if there’s a next time!
Lauren, I definitely need a gray t-shirt dress. Love yours. 2 cute casual ways to style it. Especially today’s with the white sneakers.
And I hope that stray dog finds a loving family. You are too kind.
Happy Monday! Ada. =)
Love this weekend look, so cute

I am a total sucker for dogs too and would have done the same thing. So glad you helped. Love how you styled the dress this time. Great inspiration for me for the future about being smart about the pieces of maternity wear I buy.

You know, I’d have forgotten that was a maternity dress if you hadn’t reminded me, it really works and looks comfy to boot!
Oh, I remeber this dress! Now it looks even more beautiful:) The dress is awesome!

I love that even though the color schemes are similar, the outfits still have totally different looks to them. I hope the dog finds a good home! You’re a sweet person. I know a lot of people would’ve identified him at a pitt and kept walking.
I love that you’re able to remix that dress both during and after pregnancy–and I never would have known it was the same maternity dress! That’s the ultimate versatile piece. I hope the pup finds a home. He’s lucky that you found him and took him to a safe place, poor thing!
you are rocking that dress, and thanks for taking care of the lost pup, so many people do not
Love this outfit…the pop of color in the purse, the great necklace, and of course the white Converse!! Perfection!

1st post-baby run – good for you! I remember how great it felt to get back out there. And I love how you made this dress work for multiple stages – denim jacket and sneakers is my favorite dress pairing right now.
Looking lovely, Mama! Can I tell you that I’m pretty sure I had a mini heart palpitation looking at your precious little girl. She is beautiful! OVERDOSE of cuteness!

Good for you on rescuing the poor dog! It always breaks my heart to see them roaming around. I have called animal services several times to try to help them out.
