I’ve always been the type of girl who loves getting dressed: putting on makeup, curling my hair, picking out my clothes… it’s always been one of my favorite parts of the day. But lately, all of that doesn’t happen that often. I’m sure I don’t need to say this, but these days this blog is representative of such a small sliver of my life. Life with a newborn is so much different than what it used to be. I still love getting dressed, but it only happens maybe 2-3 times a week!
I definitely get out of PJ’s into workout clothes daily, but it’s embarrassing how many days I stay in a sports bra until I shower and put on pajamas again! I’m certainly not complaining though. Layla makes trading pencil skirts for workout capris worth it any day, but I do occasionally miss getting dolled up. Now I find myself favoring comfort more than fashion. Leggings certainly fall into that comfort category, and tunics and embellished sweatshirts have become my best friends. So here’s to my new mama style and embracing this style season of my life! 🙂
Tunic: Lou & Grey, Leggings: c/o Legwear Loft (similar) , Boots: Yoki (similar under $35!), Necklace: Stella & Dot Aria
Mamas – did having a baby greatly change your style preferences?
I love your comfy, casual look here. Enjoy mommy hood with your precious little princess!
Wishing you a happy weekend!

I totally understand. Kaid is almost 6 months and there are days when I still don’t get dressed until the afternoon, let alone have time to do my hair etc. It s getting better though, slowly.
That’s a great mom outfit. I’ve been wearing comfort clothes as well. It’s all about comfort these days!
Mama style is the best style, and you do it fantastically! Such a cute outfit!
Summers are hardest for me because I’m home on vacation… It’s hard not to just throw on a t-shirt and shorts. Blogging definitely helps me stay motivated.
Love those necklaces! And yea, i’d say having a cute little baby is way better than putting on clothes. 😉 Even with the lack of sleep
I love this look, something i would rock all week! I’m currently pregnant and my style is very reflective of this, comfy pants and tunics. i’m enjoying the change in style though its fun to have a reason to switch up your look!
Hey, if this is mama style, then sign me up! You look really pretty and comfy 🙂

Even if you are only getting dressed 2-3 times a week (and with a newborn, 2-3 times per week is really good!) you still look great! You look glowing and restful! How do you do it? 🙂
I feel you Lauren! You just had a baby, don’t worry about getting all put together. Enjoy it when you can and enjoy the sweats, too.
