A few weekends back, we made our annual trip to Carter Mountain in Charlottesville. It’s one of my favorite Fall traditions because I love seeing all the bright, changing leaves that cover the mountains. There’s just something about mountain air too: it’s almost crisper and clearer.
It was a pretty overcast day with constant drizzle, so layers were necessary for our trip. This blanket scarf kept me warm and also doubled as super-chic bonnet (ha!) for the rain. And I am so, so glad that I chose to wear my Hunter boots. They were a MUST. While Aaron and my friend were slipping around on the ground, I was perfectly comfortable walking through the orchards. I’ve worn flat bottom boots in years past, and the textured, grippy bottoms were a game changer!
