Agolde Shorts Review

You know life has been busy when you finally get around to posting a try on you filmed nearly two months ago. 🙈 Moving did a number on our schedule, y’all! But this Agolde shorts review was highly requested by you, and I didn’t want to miss sharing!

Way back in early May, I placed an order for a few pairs of Agolde shorts. They are one of my favorite brands for that worn-in, vintage vibe shorts! They are also amazing quality that last me summer after summer! Since I already owned a few of their shorter pairs, I ordered some styles with a longer inseam to try!

Agolde Shorts Review

Worn-in distressing is one of the things I often look for when it comes to shorts! And I love an inseam around three to four inches! But I know so many of us are looking for different things when it comes to shorts. So I tried a variety of options: 3- 6 inch inseam and various levels of distressing!

One thing to keep in mind is that all the Agolde shorts I am featuring are 100% cotton denim. If you’re used to denim with stretch, these will be a big change! The denim feels a little thicker and more substantial. They also do not stretch out– AT ALL. Do expect them to break in with wear, becoming softer and more formed to your specific figure. But they in no way stretch out!

Parker Shorts

The Parker shorts were the first pair of Agolde shorts that I purchased, so I’ve had these the longest! They are the also the shortest in length with a three inch inseam. There is distressing on this pair that makes them feel even a little bit shorter on the outer thigh! But they are slightly longer in the back, which I appreciate!

The rise is pretty high on me at 11.5 inches, hitting about a half inch below my belly button. I went with my true size but I wish I had sized up one for a little more of a relaxed fit and extra length!

Of all the Agolde shorts, these are the ones I see and hear about most often. They also come in several other washes. I also own the washed black pair, which you can see below!

I just purchased this washed black version before our Disney trip. I did size up in these ones and I’m glad I did. The waist is more relaxed and so are the legs. The larger size also allows them to sit a little lower on my hips, giving a longer feel!

Even though these are also supposed to be a three inch inseam, they are actually shorter than the blue denim pair I own. Even with them being a size larger, they are still slightly shorter than the previous pair! So definitely size up in these if only for a little length!

Micah Shorts

After buying the Parker shorts, these were my second Agolde shorts purchase! They quickly became my most-worn pair! What I like about them is the slightly longer four inch inseam. There is also less distressing with only a raw hem.

These do have a relaxed boyfriend fit. I ended up sizing down one but wish I had just stuck with my true size. Maybe I’m just appreciating a little extra breathing room in my old age. 😂

Dee Shorts

After hearing some ravs from friends about this cut, I was excited to try the Dee shorts! Although I was a little unsure at first about the side notch, these ended up being the pair that I kept out of my order!

They have a 3.5 inch inseam according to Agolde, but I swear these are no shorter than the Micah! What is different about these is the ultra high rise– 12 inches! They come all the way up to my belly button!

Because of the super high rise, I ended up sizing up two sizes. I have a straight midsection without a defined waistline. If you are more of an hourglass or pair shape, I’d suggest sizing up one. If you are shaped more like me, size up two!

Reese Shorts

The Reese shorts are slightly longer with a 4.5 inch inseam. They are not quite as high rise as the Dee with an 11 inch rise. Although the inseam is longer, I swear these are slightly shorter on the outer thigh. The leg opening also seems a little wider!

For my straighter-figured ladies, size up one size. That’s what I did here and loved the relaxed fit. For those with a smaller waist, you could probably stay with your true size.

Rumi Shorts

For those of you looking for an even longer option, these Rumi shorts have a six inch inseam! This wash has no distressing besides the raw hem! The rise is also about the same as the Reese at 11 inches!

Fit-wise, I’d suggest sizing up one. I’m wearing two sizes up here, but the waist is a little too big and I don’t love how wide the leg is. If you see the fit on the model, the slimmer leg is definitely more flattering! They come in several wash options!
