Early Spring Abercrombie Try On

Ok, so I know I said I was going to take a break from try-on sessions. But the other day I was browsing Abercrombie and found some of the cutest early spring and winter to spring transition options! I’ve been feeling like I’ve been in a fashion rut, but this early spring Abercrombie try on actually got me excited about clothes again! If that’s not a glowing recommendation, I don’t know what is. 😉

Early Spring Abercrombie Try On

Even though I said I was excited about clothes again, I still kept my expectations realistic, y’all. We’re talking comfy sets, elastic waistbands and denim with a little stretch. Life is just a little different these days, and I’m fully embracing a more casual style!

My Sizing

For reference, I’m 5’7 1/2″ with a short torso and very long legs! I typically wear a 28/29 in jeans or a size 8. My bra size is a 36C, and I typically wear a size medium (or 8) top.

If you ever have any question about what size I’m wearing, check the links below each image! I list any recommendations I have for sizing up or down for quick reference. (TTS= true to size!) For full details, I’ll be chatting all about quality, style, and fit in the paragraphs above each photo. Let’s go!

Wide Leg Matching Set

Matching sets aren’t going anywhere, y’all! And I love that this is a wonderful transitional option that can be worn now and into the warmer months! The sweatshirt has a relaxed fit with a slightly dropped balloon sleeve. I already own this exact sweatshirt in the leopard and I love it equally in the solid muted green! It also comes in two tie dyes and several other solid colors!

Now let’s chat these wide leg sweatpants! They are crazy-comfortable with fleece lining. The waistband is wider with a ruffle top, and they also have the front-seams. I’d say they fit true toe size with a little room. The waistband is pretty generous. If you’re in between sizes, I’d size down!

What I love most about these sweatpants is that they are going to be so versatile for spring! They can definitely be styled in a non-sweatpant look but with all the comfort of loungewear! Here are two easy ways I’d style them!

Daisy Tee + Leopard Print Shorts

The daisy print graphic tee instantly caught my eye online! Something so simple as a little floral print can instantly make you feel more spring-y! Even if I have to layer it up with jackets for now, I’m excited to wear it! The tee fits relaxed but is slimmer through the arms. Aaand it also just happens to coordinate well with the leopard shorts!

Yup, these shorts are pretty much my dream short. They have an elastic waistband, relaxed, drapey fit, and aren’t too short! I did size up one, but I don’t think I needed to. I’m fine with the fit, but in general I’d say they fit true to size. They come in ten colors, and I already want another pair! There are floral prints, solids, and plaid! There is even a matching crop top if you’re looking for a matching set!

Linen Peasant Top + Cutoff Shorts

What drew me to this next top was the natural linen fabric. I could see it pairing so well with any bottom, but I’d especially love it with white denim this spring! Sizing runs a little on the small side. I have a very short waist, and the length felt very cropped on me. If you’re taller or have a longer torso, definitely size up one! It also comes in a floral print and white.

If you missed them last year, these are the shorts it felt like everyone on IG was raving about! I’m a pretty diehard AGOLDE short gal, but everyone was comparing these to them! I’ve gotta say, they are GOOD. They have a high rise and a 4″ inseam, which is ideal for me! They also have 1% elastane, which gives just the right amount of stretch and comfort with a cotton denim feel. I highly recommend ordering yours early since I couldn’t get my hands on a pair last spring! They were constantly sold out! I did size up 2 sizes. I would recommend sizing up one, but I love the extra comfort of 2 sizes up!

Peasant Top + Distressed Mom Jeans

Although I liked the last top, this one is the one I ended up loving! It has a smocked bodice, elastic waistband, and flows away from the waist. The sleeves come to elbow length. It also has a square neckline. Fit-wise, it’s true to size and longer than the previous one!

The jeans are a pair of the high rise mom jean style! They have a fully-busted knee on one side and lighter distressing on the other. Like the denim shorts, these have 1% elastane, which I love. They have just enough stretch! I sized up 2 sizes but would recommend only sizing up one. I’m also in the tall length!

Peasant Top + Light Wash Mom Jeans

These jeans are the same exact mom jean style in a different wash. The denim is slightly lighter with less distressing. Between the two, this pair is more my speed! I’m also in two sizes up with the tall length. Again, I recommend sizing up one.

Tie Dye Short Set

SO MUCH YES for this set, y’all! I 100% recommend. The sweatshirt has a very similar cut to the first one I shared; however, it has a raw hem at the bottom instead of a band. I also love the subtle muted tie dye! The shorts are equally as comfy! I can see myself wearing this all the time this spring! Both pieces come in other color options, including solids. They both fit true to size.

Tunic Tee

And last but not least, I piece I ordered for the leggings days still ahead. I love it. It’s soft, lightweight, and plenty long enough. It does have a bit of a burnout look to it and is slightly sheer but not see-through. Fit is relaxed but true to size. It comes in five colors, and yes, I already want another one.

Which was your favorite piece from our early spring Abercrombie try on? I couldn’t pick just one, but I’m excited to wear the tie dye set, the long sleeve tee, and those leopard print shorts!!

    Hello Lauren,
Sweatpants are one of my favourite for spring. This Linen Peasant Top and Cutoff Shorts is my all-time favorite, I don’t have this collection of both but this weekend I am surely gonna buy it. Can you please recommend to me where to buy this Tunic Tee? btw Thanks for this wonderful article.

Loved the Tunic Tee combination, It gives a burnout look to your outfit, and as you said it is soft fabric which is good for a tunic tee. Thank you for sharing this.
