Dressing for a Festival

Now that the weather is a bit warmer and the sun seems like it’s out to stay, all I can think about is spending as much time outdoors as possible. Luckily Spring and Summer bring quite a few festivals and outdoor concerts. Is there a better way to catch some rays this time of year?

what wear festivalWhen it comes to outdoor event dressing, I like to keep it cool and casual. There is nothing more easy and breezy than a midi or maxi skirt. The print on this one definitely makes me feel concert-ready, but it’s light enough to keep me comfortable through some serious heat.

Love that Midi Skirt. Looks great with the tied Chambray. The Necklace is beautiful too. I hope I can find that Skirt & those Sandals at Target, this summer.

Happy Monday & stop by when you can. I have been featuring one of your looks in my blog, today. Check it out!

    Thanks, Ada. =)

This is a perfect festival look! Like you, I usually opt for an easy sundress and chambray for outdoor concerts. Although, I’ve started wearing sneaks or ankle boots in case the grass is soggy and gross!

This is perfect for an outdoor concert – easy and breezy, but enough to cut the chill when the sun goes down. I’m going to a music fest in a couple weeks and am definitely planning some looks like this!

Most of the concerts I go to are indoors (I’m not big on being around hundreds of drunk, idiotic 18-year olds pretending to like the band). BUT the ones I do go to outside, I always opt for cool patterns (like this one!) in skirts or shorts.

Oh how I know what you mean. Last summer I went to a big concert and bought lawn seats. Maybe I’m just getting too old for it, but I was so annoyed by all of the drunk people. Never again.

I love this outfit! I actually went to a music festival this past weekend and I wore something really similar. Spring events are my favorite because the weather hasn’t yet become miserable, and you can get away with things like chambray. During the summer I usually wear a tank and shorts to anything outdoors – when we get over 100 degrees I can’t do anything else!

So cute! I love this outfit! It is adorable AND comfortable which is pretty much perfection. I’m not really a festival type of girl. They kind of freak me out. If I were the type to go, I would wear something like this! And I really want your sandals.

Haha. The kind of festivals we go to are all food or wine related! I don’t know if I could really handle a big one either! 🙂

I don’t own any midi or maxi skirts, but I might have to change that! You look so cute, and I’m so jealous of the sandals! I’m going to Lollapalooza this summer, and I’m already nervous about trying to figure out what to wear for August in Chicago!
