Summer Work Wear

I’m loving the warmer weather, but it can cause quite the dilemma when it comes to picking out work-appropriate outfits. I mean, when is my office going to get on board with jean shorts in the workplace? If that’s not an option for you either, a sleeveless blouse is the perfect choice for a business casual environment.warm weather work wear

I fell in love with this lovely pink blouse since it covered enough skin but was still light enough for the heat. Plus if your meeting rooms are anything like mine, you’ll appreciate that that a blouse like this works great under a blazer or cardigan!perfect spring blousewhat to wear to work in the summerpolka dot pencil skirtsummer work blousepaint splatter flatsHow do you keep your work wear cool in the warmer months?

Dressing for work can be so hard in the summer! I pretty much sweat through my clothes on the way to work (especially in the subway) but then I get to my office and freeze in the AC! I usually opt for something like this, and bring a cardi so I can throw it on if I get cold (I have lots of “desk sweaters” haha).

This is a very pretty blouse. I would have to wear at least a cardigan over it to my office, but it’s great for layering.

Cute!! I’m lucky that my office is so casual and allows me to wear pretty much any kind of appropriate summer sundress or flowy skirt that I desire, but I love that so many brands are now offering office staples, like pencil skirts and blouses, in fun summer hues and prints.

I have a similar skirt. Love how you styled it with a pink top. So pretty.

I didn’t know those shoes came in flats…I only saw the heels! Fabulous! Unfortunately, my office doesn’t really allow sleeveless tops, but its usually cold anyway, so I rock it with a cardi or blazer then take it off to go to lunch!

So so cute! Pink and navy is one of my favorite color combinations. Love the polka dots and ruffles together. So perfect!

I love this! In California I’m always looking for cute office wear in the summer. I am a big fan of peep toes and cropped pants, but I definitely want to get some fun summer office skirts!

So when I started my internship a few weeks ago I was told that it is still considered “business professional” to wear PANTY HOSE with my skirts and dresses, at least until June, when they would “allow” me to forgo the panty hose considering it’s like 100 degrees outside. Needless to say, I went out and stocked up on cropped dress pants and beat the system 🙂
