Little Black Wrap Dress

I’m not really one for resolutions, but with the start of the new year, I’ve given a lot of thought to my closet (and to how I shop)! I’ve decided that I’m really going to focus on the classics –  items that are timeless and that can worn over and over, just like this long sleeve wrap dress. No need to drop money on a lot of trendy items when a few classic pieces will do, right?winter dress for work

To mix up classic pieces like this little wrap dress, accessories can take you a long way (without spending a lot)! This $15 scarf is one of my new favorites, and how fun are the bright tights? I also love how my lariat necklace doubles as a layered bracelet.black wrap dress, leopard print scarflong sleeve wrap dress for work with scarfdress up a little black dress workgray leopard print scarfDress: c/o Marshalls (similar), Scarf: c/o Marshalls (similar), Tights: Express (similar), Shoes: Payless (similar), Bracelet: Stella & Dot Lariat Necklace

I agree! I have been on a shopping ban and it has helped me to realize that my closet should consist mostly of classic pieces with a few fun things thrown in! Love the purple tights! Susan

This year I am really trying to curb my spending for several months of the year so that I don’t end up with so many trendy pieces! The black dress is definitely a classic.

Love this look! I’m the same way…my resolutions aren’t really full blown resolutions. It’s just to never pay full price for awesomness and to try and cook at home more since I love cooking, just don’t have the time

I’m totally with you on that shopping philosophy! My shopping budget is going to be tiny for the foreseeable future, so I will be strategically planning every piece I buy.

LOVE this dress! I think I can pull these off while pregnant too! It’s really cute that you wear the colorful tights/stockings. They make you so much more fashionable than going with just black all the time!

I am with you – finding the classics that are going to stand the test of time is a great idea. I love when I can mix it up with something “plain” like a black dress – the different accessory options are so varied and can take you through more seasons as well!
