Off the shoulder tops have been all the rage the past few seasons. But y’all, I think I found a brand new love: the one shoulder top! Okay, so I’m not going to abandon the whole off the shoulder look quite yet. I love ’em a bit too much for that. But there are definitely some advantages to one shoulder styles.
Off the shoulder tops are notorious for slipping. I’ve come across a few magical versions that stay in place for the most part, but I have this issue all the time. I feel like I’m constantly tugging at my top, which is obviously annoying. One shoulder tops do not have that issue! Because of the movement issue, there are definitely times when my OTS shirts aren’t the most practical. Like for everyday wear? Forget it. I’m not going to be chasing a toddler or vacuuming my house in a top that I constantly have to adjust. But this one shoulder version? No problemo. There’s not going to be any wardrobe malfunctions with this baby. Also they are just as fashionable.
The floral trim on this one just makes the top. It really makes the the ruffle pop, dontcha think?! And y’all know how I feel about stripes, right? So classic. Just think of all the ways you could wear it: white jeans, black jeans, shorts, tucked into skirts… It’s kiiiinda a must-have if you ask me. Sizes are a bit limited now, but check back as restocks have been happening on the reg!

Curious about sizing? The fit is definitely a bit big in the top. I typically wear a small or medium from LOFT, but went with a medium. If you want a closer-to-the-body cut, size down. You’ll definitely still have plenty of room!

I am with you sweets! As much as I love the off the shoulder, the one shoulder top really has my heart the season and yours is absolutely precious as can be!
Oh I like the little crochet flowers on this! Thought they were pom poms until I saw the close up 🙂 It’s a cute detail.
Hope you are having a really good week so far.

I am totally with you on the one shoulder over the OTS. Just easier to wear and honestly probably more flattering. Loving this on you!!

I tried to get that top during the sale a few weeks ago and couldn’t find it in any of my local stores and online it was sold out in a medium. It is so cute on you! I am definitely on the hunt for a one shoulder top for Summer!
