Mixing Spring With Fall

I’ll admit, I felt a little silly going ahead with this fluffy, fashion post considering everything going on with my fellow east-coasters. Just know that y’all are in my thoughts and prayers. Aaand onto the fluff…

J. Crew orange and teal printed skirt

I purchased this skirt in the spring, but I love that I’ve been able to Β translate it into a fall item. I’m all about extending the wearΒ of my clothes these days!

J.Crew printed skirt, button down, booties

Paired with a more richly-hued top and brown accessories made the skirt feel more seasonably appropriate.

Skirt: J. Crew Factory (similar, cute alt, on the cheap), Shirt: J.Crew (similar), Belt: Forever 21 (similar, worn here), Booties: Carlos Santana (worn here, here), Necklace: Francesca’s (near match), Bracelet: unknown (similar)

So yea, I talked about rotating unseasonable clothes out of my closet, but I haven’t been executing it very well this year!

Do you have a favorite spring item you’re wearing this fall?

I’m with you – I just can’t let my spring/summer wardrobe go this year. I invested in a lot of bright tops/skirts during the summertime so I’m trying to pair those with neutrals to make them work for fall, too. This is a great outfit and I love your booties.
