It’s The Holiday Season?

I think it finally hit me that the holiday season is upon us. When driving to a friend’s last night, I passed by her neighbor’s home, which was already completely decked out in Christmas lights. I was about to be all appalled and judge-y when I realized that really they’re only, by traditional standards, about a week early. Wow. A week.

Sure, I’ve already heard a Christmas song or two in the stores and seen all of the Christmas decorations go up in my local Target, but for the most part I’ve just rolled my eyes, knowing that stores push the holidays earlier and earlier every year. But something about that house being all lit up… It snapped me into reality.

Being the total type-A planner that I am, I suppose I should be concerned about Christmas gifts and all that. I am not remotely prepared. Even though I’ve seen the light (ha), I still haven’t caught whole holiday spirit. Maybe I’m being overly-traditional and waiting until next Thursday to really jump on the holiday bandwagon.

Have you started thinking about the holidays yet? Are you in full celebration mode or do you wait until after Turkey Day to get in the spirit?

I love a good camel sweater! And your boots match perfectly! I’m not in Christmas mode yet- it’s not even Thanksgiving. I’m waiting until it’s closer to start worrying about presents, posting Christmas things on my blog, etc.

I heard Christmas music on November 1st! I think I turned to the lady next to me at Michaels and mumbled something about how ridiculous it was! As for Christmas lights, I’ve seen a few but shockingly not that many yet. We’re waiting until next weekend to put ours up. I know we’re technically only in the middle of November but it seems like the holidays will be upon us in the blink of an eye! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Yea I kinda started thinking about Christmas. A couple of my friends are holding a craft show in our city and there will be lots of handmade goodies. I plan on doing most of my shopping there this year.
