Do you know what time it is?
Turkey time! Woop!
Well actually, I still have to make it through two full days of work, but this evening officially begins the big dinner preparation. I can hardly contain my excitement. Can’t you tell?

Aaron and I have decided to have our own little Thanksgiving at home this year, and even though I’ve cooked a Friday “Thanksgiving meal” the past two years, this is the first time I’m in charge of the big shebang. On the Turkey Day menu? Mac ‘n’ cheese, green bean casserole, cranberries, fruit salad, and (hopefully) mashed potatoes will all grace our plates (if I can get my act together). And, of course, there will be pie. That’s one part of the meal I won’t venture to whip up from scratch, but it will still be delicious thanks to the lovely folks at our local Ukrop’s bakery.
What’s on your Thanksgiving Day menu? Are you in charge of cooking?
Good luck hosting the meal this year I know it will be amazing. I am in love with your outfit.. polka dot and stripes are two of my favorite things!

Thank you, Zhanna!
Cute outfit! and I can’t help but notice that pretty blue trim around that door. Too cute!
Haha, thanks Nellie! Unfortunately we can’t take credit for the blue trim. It was already painted when we move in! 🙂
Loving the color mixing and the pattern mix up! Super cute!

Thank you, Amy.
I love mixing prints, and polka dots and stripes is especially perfect. You look adorable, Lauren! Also, I’m pretty darn jealous there will be Mac and Cheese at your Thanksgiving….my family needs to get on board with that!

Thanks! I never really got on board with the Mac and cheese until my husband came around, but I love it now!
I LOVE this outfit. The pattern mixing is great and the cardigan and necklace are perfect touches.

Thank you 🙂
My mom cooks ours but I help here and there. As I’m getting older, our Thanksgiving is getting smaller and smaller, but we still cook a whole lot of food!
I know I’ll probably go way overboard with the food, but I love left-overs!
You are too cute! I love this outfit! The combo of stripes and polka dots is so lovely and your bright pink cardigan adds a great pop of color!

Thanks, Jen!
You are SO cute. Seriously, do you want to come be my persona stylist?!
Awww. You’re making me blush. 😉
Loving the print mixing! Sounds like you’re going to have a fun Thanksgiving! I’m going to have 2 meals on the same day, ha ha

I was never a bug fan of house hopping on Thanksgiving. I always was left completely overly stuffed by the end of the day! Maybe I’m not so good at practicing self control? 😉
I have 14 people coming to my house for dinner in two days….ahhhh! I think I will ditch them and just join you guys! 🙂
AHHH! The pressure! 😉 I know you and your hubs are master chefs, so I’m sure it will be absolutely delicious!
I’m loving the pattern play with this outfit Lauren! I’m so so so ready for Thanksgiving, I hope you have an amazing holiday!
xx,
Maya
Thank you, Maya! Happy Thanksgiving!
I love polka dots and stripes together! The only thing I’m in charge of for Thanksgiving dinner is the guacamole and chips. We’ve never in a million years had guacamole and chips at Thanksgiving dinner, but I guess my grandma decided that we would have them this year and that I’d be the perfect one to make it!
I’ve never had guacamole and chips at Thanksgiving before, but I can’t say that I’d complain. There’s never a bad time for guacamole in my book!
I love the polka dot skirt! You look so pretty. Oh mac and cheese, I’m not sure why that’s not a regular part of thanksgiving! Hope you have a great holiday! 🙂

Thanks! Head on down to the South, and I assure you mac and cheese is a staple at a lot of Thanksgiving dinners! 🙂
Love this look! The mixed prints with the pink cardigan are so perfect and I really love the necklace. So gorgeous.
I hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving!
