Winterize A Summer Dress

This striped, summery dress was one of my J.Crew Warehouse finds, and I was determined to get some wear out of it now even though it’s not really “in season.”

Work appropriate summer dress in winter

I added my warmest, fleece-lined tights (thanks, Urban Outfitters) and layered on a blazer.

Accessories-wise I made sure to select bolder, chunky pieces to add a heaviness to the look overall.

I can’t wait to winterize this dress for the weekend as well. I’m envisioning wearing boots, layering with a knit sweater, and bundling up with a chunky scarf.

Have you gotten any wear out of your summer clothes this winter?

I think this is a wonderful winter dress! The red stripes remind me of candy canes lol so paired with your black blazer and tights it looks amazing!

Love this look Lauren! I also think you look gorgeous in glasses – something I have tried and unsuccessfully been able to pull off!

Love the shoes! I’ve been wearing some of my summer dress staples a similar way…either paired with a blazer and thick tights, or a chunky knit sweater thrown over with a pair of boots for a more bohemian look!
