Occasionally when the hubs and I go out for the evening I need an “in between” outfit. A dress is a bit too much but I don’t want to completely bum it either. Dressing up a pair of shorts is a nice compromise.
A bright silk blouse adds a touch of sophistication and nude heels amp up the dressy factor.
