How I Deep Condition My Hair

This post was created in collaboration with Pantene, but all opinions are my own.

I’ll let you in on a secret: I only get my hair cut every four months. For most of my life, hair cuts were an every-eight-week occurrence. But over the past couple of years, I’ve cut back on my cuts. I’m still in the salon every other month getting highlights to keep my color fresh, but going longer between cuts has allowed me to grow out my hair and save a few dollars too!

In changing my routine, however, I’ve become more conscious about the health of my hair. I’m still coloring it, and although I’ve reduced heat styling, I am still blowdrying and curling one to two times a week. So, I recently added in a new product to keep my hair hydrated and fight damage!

And y’all, let me tell ya. This product is effective, affordable, and so easy to use. No longer will you be hanging out in the shower for ten minutes for your conditioner to sink in. You’ll be in and out in 60 seconds. (And all the moms out there just rejoiced. ?) So, is that enough suspense? Let’s get straight into how I deep condition my hair!

Want a quick, affordable, and easy way to treat damaged hair? I'm sharing the $5 secret of how I deep condition my hair to keep it shiny and smooth!First up, let’s chat about my new fav product: Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots! They are Pantene’s first-ever in-home deep conditioning treatment! They’re ideal for us ladies who color treat and heat style our hair, but anyone experiencing the effects of damage can use them! Using the treatment is so quick and easy. (I’ll go through a step-by-step tutorial with results next!) Just use in place of your typical conditioner once a week to repair and rescue hair in between salon visits!

To use Pantene Intense Rescue Shots, first shampoo your hair as normal. (I’m currently using Pantene’s Repair & Protect Shampoo.)  Then, open one of the ampoules. (There are three within each pack!) Each is a single application, so don’t be afraid to use all of it! I saturate my strands from root to tip. Pay extra attention to areas that may have more damage. For me, this is the ends and the strands closest to my face.

Unlike many other masks I’ve used before, the strengthening lipids in Pantene Intense Rescue Shots absorb quickly, allowing them to deep condition without weighing hair down. Once you rinse, you can style as usual. So simple, right?

Want to see my results? Y’all, the before photo on the left is of my hair blow dried and straightened with product. The after on the right? Simply blow dried! I didn’t add a single additional styling product or heat styling tool. And it is so smooth! It blows my mind that these were taken within an hour of each other! Do you see that shine?!

Seriously.), but I can also feel the difference. It is so soft and actually feels restored from all the damage of heat styling and hair coloring.

It’s rare that I really get excited about a new product, but these are so worth the hype! You can pick up the Intense Rescue Shots wherever you buy your fav Pantene products, and get ready for more great hair days! ?
