Do you love all things 80’s? Unless we’re talking some classic movies or dance-y music, ahem hello Marky Mark, I don’t know if I could agree. The big hair, the shoulder pads… I’d say the eighties are more like the decade I love to make fun of. So if you’d asked me earlier this year how I felt about 80’s fashion making a comeback, I’d probably have laughed. But lately, I’ve found myself donning some eighties-inspired looks and pieces. Say it ain’t so.
1. Neon.
Thankfully I haven’t gone completely to the dark side, wearing some fully-neon geometric print jumpsuit. But neon flats or a neon top? Yep, you caught me.
2. Tied Tees.
Don’t worry, I haven’t broken out my neon, rhinestone-encrusted t-shirt clip yet. I’d like to think tying a tee over a maxi is more modern than the eighties version, right? Maybe?
3. Printed Pants.
Let’s just say this: at least the patterned pants of today aren’t parachute pants or made of tracksuit material.
4. Keds.
I don’t have much to say for myself here. They’re pretty much the exact same as they were 25 years ago. The only redeeming factor? I’m not wearing them with those bright, obnoxious shoe laces and multiple pairs of socks.
5. Jean Jackets.
Good thing they’ve been redesigned in a more modern, fitted cut because let’s be honest: those boxy things of the past weren’t flattering on anyone. And trust, you will never catch this girl in an acid wash version. NEVER.
I guess what’s old really is new again.

Well the good thing about the 80s style coming back is it isn’t in full force, it’s just small touches that add a nice flare to looks!

These are all super cute! I like that the trends have been updated. The printed pants have come a long way. I personally can’t stand the 80’s. The colors were probably the worst. Thankfully I didn’t have to spend much time in the 80’s but I still have pictures of my mom in neon parachute pants and acid washed jeans. And of course our house was mauve and dusty rose…yuck.

My favorite ones are the jean jacket and printed pants. Neon isn’t bad but I can’t get into tie dye. It reminds me too much of my childhood.

I wore Keds when I was in elementary school. There was one girl in my class that had a pair in just about every color of the rainbow. I just had white. I love all of these looks on you! I SO knotted my baggy tees back in the day.
